So another week had passed her in Tipitapa :) well the time is passing as normal but flying before my eyes!! So this week was pretty crazy!! Had alot of meetings all week that were really awesome!!
So on Tuesday, we had a Training Meeting for all those that are training new missionaries, so that meant us. So we headed to Managua to the meeting in the morning. We were there all day passing over the things that we need to be teaching our comps and how well we need to be following the rules and all the things that Pres Collado tells us we need to do, or the Lord. So we were able to get really excited to get to work during the week due to that meeting.
On Friday, we had a special Multi Mission meeting with Elder Soares of the 70 and Elder Ocoa of the Area Presidency. So we got together in the South Mission at a really big Chapel with all the missionaries form both missions!! Talk about alot of missionaries!!! It was weird because there were so many that I didn't know... Saw some of my old comps and talked to them and they are doing pretty good. So in this meeting, Pres Collado and his wife talked, Pres Russell and his wife form the other mission talked, Elder Ochoa and his wife talked, and then Elder Soares and his wife talked. The thing that they focused on talking about was the importance of the work of the Lord, Missionary Work with the members. He explained how important it is because if we try working apart, that we will go nowhere, but if we work together, we will be able to bring many souls unto salvation. Later that night, he had a meeting with all the leaders of the church and talked to them that they need to help lift the pressure from off our shoulders as missionaries because it seems like all the time, only we are doing the work. So Elder Soares really focused on that and how much we really need to start working on it since Pres Monson asked us to do it awhile ago and we have very little progression with it.
Well I got to go to Managua today with Elder D and stop by the Distribution Center to get some stuff. Found a movie there, How Rare a Possession. It says its about the conversion process of Parley Pratt and Vansca Francesca.. something like that. I hope to be able to watch it this week to see how good it is. Well Love you all and hope things are going great at home!!! Good luck!!
Apostolic Blessing from Elder Soares.....
Have the ability to represent Jesus Christ in a dignified manner. From that opening your mouth to have the power to teach investigators to change their hearts and have the desire to follow and fulfill their commitments. Have the security and inspiration to know where to walk and if necessary take another path and doing so, stay safe.

Well this letter wont be very long so I apologize for all those that are die heart readers of my letters but I will try to talk alittle about the work here.
So this week we spent teaching a bunch of people and trying to help them understand the importance of baptism and getting them to commit to a date. But even though we have been working like horses, it seems like no one wants to accept the gospel and take the steps that are necessary to gain their salvation. In the mission it is really easy to lose that motive or desire to keep working when it seems like everyone and everything is crashing down on all sides. One might look at it and take off running in the other dirrection. There are others that look at it and decided that they will just keep doing what they have been and if the results are the same, who cares, but there are those that the Lords wants, those that look at it and do everything they possible can to do what the Lord wants them to do, despite the fact that there arent any results because they have the faith that the Lord will provide a way. So due to the fact that our area seems alittle like that, my comp and I are looking at it, squaring our shoulders and doing the work of the Lord.
"No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude, and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our soul, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God."
-Orson F. Whitney
It was meant to be that life would be a challenge. To suffer some anxiety, some depression, even some failure is normal. If you have a good, miserable day once in a while- or several in a row- stand steady and face them. Things will straighten out. There is great purpose in our struggle in life.

Ok people!! This week has come and gone and let us see what has come of it!!
Well Elder D and I decided to start giving classes of English to those in Tipitapa that would like to get a basic run down of English. We taught our first class on Saturday. We had about 10 people there, most of them kids but it went pretty well. We are using the class to find new people to teach about the gospel as well. The class went really well and we actually found out that its alot harder to teach english to someone than we thought. English is just a mixed up language, I have no idea how it came about and why it is so mixed up and messed when compared to other languages. Spanish was so much easier to learn.
So here in Tipitapa, they are celebrating some annual events, for who knows what reasons but they are having a bunch of crazy activities. About a month ago, they put in a rodeo place where they have bull rides every night. And yesterday, they had what they call the Run of the Bulls. In Spain, they do it too, where they let the bulls run through the street and everyone runs with them to get that adrenaline rush. Well they did that here in Tipitapa. I didnt find out they were doing it til lunch time and by that time, the bulls were already in the streets. So we ran to our house to drop some stuff off and head to the church for a meeting, hoping to see something before we got there. Well while we were in the house, we heard a bunch of screams and TONS of people stated to run in front of the house!! We live really close where the bulls were ending their run. So were went out on our porch, with is fenced off btw, and we watched as one bull ran by, stopped in front of the house and ran a bunch of people out of the way. It was super cool and scary but Hey, thats what we do in Nicaragua!! I got some pics and some video as well!!
Well that is the sum up of my week and I hope the beste for all of you out there in the world, whereever you may be that you may do the things of the Lord and that He may bless you for your obedience!! Love you all!!

Well lets start off with some news.... Changes were today!!! and guess what!!! My comp and I were left in the area!!! So I'm able to spend another 6 weeks in Tipitapa!! Im super excited and super pumped to get to work with my comp!! We are ready to get going and baptising all the people that we happen to get in contact with!!!
SO this week was pretty interesting with the new year and everything!! Any new year goals?! Well mine was to put myself even more into the work of the Lord. Sometimes it is easy to sit around a bit and talk with the members and stuff but sometimes we need to get out and get doing the work!!! So my goal for this year is to Get Out and Do It!!!
So in all the time here in Tipitapa, I have learned a lot about the people of Nicaragua and how I can help them.. They are such a loving people but they can be quite stubborn sometimes. The little things in life mean more to them at times than what they need to become happy. So us as missionaries we do our very best to help them understand that they need to think in a bigger perspective of the things in life and look for the ways that they can help their family and not just themselves.
This week we didn't do much due to the new year but this Sunday we had a lot more people show up than normal. Alot of inactive people showed up and alot of recent converts that normally had to be dragged to church showed up too. Maybe this new year motivated them to make a change. Lets see how long this lasts. Hopefully we can teach them how important it is to endure to the end and that they can keep going to church and doing the things they need to. Love the people here!!!
“The effect of God’s commandments and laws is not changed to accommodate popular behavior or desires. If anyone thinks that godly or parental love for an individual grants the loved one license to disobey the law, he or she does not understand either love or law.”
