WWWHOOOOAAAA!!!!! This change with Elder B went by way too fast!! I have received the news that my comp will be heading to Puerto Cabeza and I will stay again another change here in Tipitapa!! i will be getting a new comp, I think his name is Elder R, not sure yet. I haven't met him and I wont until tomorrow. I have loved the time I have had with Elder B and I am sad to see our companionship be parted. I have been bumped up to Senior Companion so I hope my comp will be able to work with me and that we can get along well. I want that we can be able to teach with the spirit and to be able to touch the hearts of those that we teach.
Spiritual Experience for the week:
So yesterday, Sunday, the young men in our ward didn't show up on time, like they do every Sunday. So the Branch Pres asked Elder E and I to bless the Sacrament. I felt a bit nervous due to the fact that my Spanish lately has gotten a little lazy and I slur my words together and I didn't want to mess up the sacrament prayer. Anyways, we went through the process of breaking the bread and saying the prayers. After we were all done, and after we had sat back down, I realized that I haven't had the chance to bless the Sacrament for about year!!! In the Singles ward before I left, I didn't really do it because I was never called on to do it. And I never really did it that much while I was in La Dalia. I felt really blessed that I had that chance to use my priesthood to help everyone else in the chapel to renew their covenants that they had made at baptism, to help them become clean of their sins that week.
So due to the fact that I didnt have the chance to watch Conference last weekend, i downloaded it on my iPod and I have been listening to the talks throughout the week. One of my favorite talks is by Pres Uchtdorf during the Saturday Morning Session. He talks about the many reasons why people join the church. He talks about how people may think that they cant fit in to the church with us because they are so different. He invites all of those that are different to join!! And due to all the difference that we shall gain, we will be able to grow even better together. He states, ''If you expect to find perfect people here, you will be disappointed. But if you seek the pure doctrine of Christ, the word of God “which healeth the wounded soul,”9 and the sanctifying influence of the Holy Ghost, then here you will find them. In this age of waning faith—in this age when so many feel distanced from heaven’s embrace—here you will find a people who yearn to know and draw closer to their Savior by serving God and fellowmen, just like you. Come, join with us!''. We all know that the Church is perfect, but we also know that we as humans aren't perfect in any way. We will never reach perfection in this life. But through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we will be able to gain that perfection after we are resurrected.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters—my dear friends—please, first doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith.8 We must never allow doubt to hold us prisoner and keep us from the divine love, peace, and gifts that come through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hey!!! I hope everyone got to enjoy conference!! I should would have if I would have had the chance to watch it... I just downloaded them so I can listen to them during the week. Its kinda sad that I wasn't able to see it but as a missionary here in Nicaragua, if I didn't have anyone to bring with me to Conference, I'm not able to go. We worked super hard all week to be able to take people to Conference but at the last moment, everyone decided to run away, hide, lie, or straight up not want to go. We had about 8 families that we had prepared to go with us and every single one of them fell through.. It really sad that these people lost out on the chance to see the Prophet speak in person. I know that they get to see him again in 6 months but this is a special chance that they get 2 times a year.
Well the spiritual experience this week....
We went to teach E and M this week to see how they were doing. Well only E was there and we decided to see where he was in reading the Book of Mormon. He is in the 24 chapter of 2 Nephi. So we read a chapter with him, explained it, and asked him if there was anything we could do to help them. He then went on to tell us how the President of the Relief Society has been visiting them and seeing the help that they need. She brought them a bag of food the night that they happened to run out. They saw the blessings that the Lord provided them and continues to provide them when they follow the commandments of the Lord. I truly love this family. I've said that a lot but I cant describe the way I feel for this family.
To make matters a bit more crazy for this week of Conference, the power and water decided to go away all day... Well that made it even harder to bring people to church when they hadn't bathed yet or cooked their meals. That didn't help. We also had a baptism planned in the afternoon but because there was no water, we weren't able to do it. We tried to do it today and that didn't happen either because there still isn't water in the chapel in Tipitapa or in the other chapel closest to Tipitapa. Sucks!! But We did our very best to find all the other different ways we could be able to baptize this weekend and we couldn't do anything about it. Even if we do our very best, if the Lord doesn't want it to happen at that time, it isn't going to happen. So maybe tomorrow is the day. I guess we will find out!!
Also, the fan that I was using to sleep at night to cool me off, decided to die off and leave me sweating and miserable during the night. That's how I slept last night and the night before. The mission is trying to fix some things in the mission so who knows when I will be getting another fan.... Hopefully soon. My comp hasn't had one for about a month. I don't know how he has been able to sleep without a fan but he does it. Now we both don't have a fan and we will suffer together!!!
It is recorded that Jesus was made perfect through suffering. If he was made perfect through suffering, why should we imagine for one moment that we can be prepared to enter into the kingdom of rest with him and the Father, without passing through similar ordeals?

Wow, the week already passed? It feels like yesterday I was in here writing you guys about last week... Well just a notification!!! Be aware of the time because if you don't, it might just run away from you.
So this week we spent finding new people to teach and helping the recent converts grow stronger in the gospel. We have been working alot with E and M. The day after their baptism, they started having problems in their families. E's brother got worse in the hospital and his family was pretty tense about it and some of his family was fighting over it. M's sisters and their husbands are fighting and things got pretty bad. But what amazes me is that they are still reading the scriptures and praying together and everything! We have been passing by and teaching them the lessons again so they understand better and they seem to soak it in and then start to live it! That's what the gospel really is! Living its principles and learning from them and strengthening your faith. We passed by on Saturday to see how they were doing and the trials had come again but in a different form. M broke her foot about 3 months ago and just got out of the cast. Seeing as she is the only one that has a job in the family, she goes out and sells candy at the bus stops in Tipitapa. Well her foot had started swelling and was hurting her pretty bad. E had an infection in his leg about 3 months ago but it decided to come back that night. They don't have any money, not even enough to buy some meds to get rid of the pain. Well even though they are struggling due to money and pain issues, they still went to church!! Most of the people I know here in Nicaragua, if they were hurting or didn't feel good, they wouldn't even think about going to church that day. Well this family has such faith that they knew that if they could follow through with the commandments that God has given them, that He would bless them according to their faith. I cant wait to see what blessings that they will receive here pretty soon but I also know that the trials with just get harder. They will be tested to see how strong they really are. I know that the Lord gives us trials to grow spiritually and to bless us. If we all could have the faith like this family, I wonder what kind of blessings we could receive.
I have had so many spiritual experience with this family that I cant even tell all of them. All I know is that the Lord prepared this family to help strengthen His church here in Tipitapa. E could be future Branch President or Bishop in Tipitapa and M could be the future Relief Society President. President Collado told us that we need to be looking for the leaders of the church, the future bishops, elders quorum pres and so forth. If we are able to convert these future leaders, imagine what the church will be like in a few years here in Nicaragua.
Remember!! Don't let the bumps in life get you down, they are there for us to climb them and make ourselves stronger!!
“As you build your lives in obedience to the gospel and strive to achieve your goals, do not become discouraged by temporary setbacks and disappointments. Remember that ‘it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things.’ You will grow and learn by overcoming obstacles. The Lord has admonished all of us to ‘keep [His] commandments and endure to the end.’”

Funny story
This Sunday, a drunk guy wandered into the last hour of the classes. He walked in, did the catholic church cross on his chest, sat down and started asking people if he could borrow their phone. He turned around and saw one of the sister missionaries that is in the Branch and he just stared at her. For about 10 mins, that's all it was, staring. After a little bit, he started to lick his lips provocatively at her and tried to speak in English to her. He stood up, looked at her again and started to talk in English.. well trying to anyways. My comp stood up, and took him outside so he wouldn't bother anyone else!! It was the highlight of my day :)
